  Winter Walking Week
  January 17 - 25, 2009
  A week in Scotland to give potential Activity Permit holders experience of walking in proper winter conditions. Weather conditions permitting, participants will be able to practise avalanche awareness, ice axe arrests, cutting steps, snow and ice belays, building snow shelters and navigation in poor visibility. Adults only with some previous hill walking experience.

  Winter Hill Walking Weekend
  February 20 - 22, 2009
  Our aim is to give participants experience of walking in winter conditions including the use of an ice axe and crampons if conditions are suitable. Indoor accommodation. Meals (excluding lunches) provided. Minimum age 12 years. Cost tbc.

  A gentle walk in easy terrain in memory of former member Rosemary, followed by a barbecue.
