Training and Assessments 23

Based in Bethesda and out onto the back of  the Carneddau for the navigation section of this year's training and assessment weekend. 14 people in total on the trip with 4 for assessment (including a first time permit applicant), 3 for training plus a trainee assessor – as well as the assessment and support team. More new faces amongst the group, which is always good news.

The weather on Saturday was lovely [for a change – Ed] with some great views. Sunday however, was on the distinctly gopping side. This made the security and steep ground and rope work section in Cwm Idwal rather challenging – but more realistic. 1 new permit and 2 renewed and a lot of learning done.

Thanks, as always, to the assessment team and the support staff as well as Culverston & Vigo Scout Group for the loan of their minibus.
