Hill walking and Climbing in the Lake District
29th May 2018
A joint weekend with the County Climbing Team to Langdale in the Lake District.
Three groups ventured into the central fells with their tents on their backs on Saturday afternoon with another group completing the classic Crinkle Crags and Bow fell day walk. A scramble up Browney Gill for some and another day walk over Pavey Ark for others on Sunday while the more adventurous overnight groups recovered from their exertions in the glorious sunshine with an ice cream!
On Monday a couple of small groups went out walking while everyone else headed to the appropriately named Scout Crag for some single-pitch climbing in the baking hot sun.

"Just to say thank-you to the team who organised the trip this weekend. Our son had a brilliant time walking, scrambling and wild camping. We have heard lots about it, and seen some great photos.
We just wanted to say thank you very much for the time and hard work involved with organising the latest IMC weekend. We really appreciate it. We really enjoyed the trip, the lovely company, the walking, the wonderful views, the refreshing paddles and the cheeky ice-creams! The weather was the icing on the cake. Special thanks to Judy and James for leading us in the hills and to the wonderful minibus drivers.
Just a quick email to say thanks for the weekend away. She thought it was fantastic and had a great time. Do you have anything else coming up over the summer?
