After the wide expanses of North Yorkshire in May, we headed back to Snowdonia but this time to the south west side of Snowdon for a more traditional mountain experience. Base camp was at Rhyd Ddu, the ideal location to explore Snowdon, as one group did as well as the classic but much quieter Nantlle ridge which was the choice of the other two groups on Saturday. Sunday was a choice between a quick dash up Mynydd Mawr or some rope work below Castell Cidwm.
We also carried out two hill walking assessments as part of this trip as well as training a new assessor. Let us hope for better traffic on the next trip...
