September in the Brecon Beacons

22nd September 2025

We've not had a lot of luck with the weather since the February trip and our trip to South Wales in September was no exception. Saturday was a 'wet pants' day – it was called in advance by one of the leaders and he wasn't wrong! But at least the gale force winds that were forecast earlier in the week never materialised so the three groups were, at least, able to get onto the tops – not that there were any views. Nor were there any hot showers back at the centre due to a broken boiler!

Sunday's weather was thankfully much more pleasant which made for some great photo opportunities around the waterfalls area plus of course, the traditional traverse behind Swgd yr Eira.

As always, we made the best of the weekend and thanks as always to all the leaders and drivers for making it happen.
