Training and Assessment 25

Based in Cornel we were straight out onto Crimpiau for the navigation section of this year's training and assessment weekend. 16 people in total on the trip with 6 up for assessment and 5 for training – as well as the assessment team. More new faces amongst the group, which is always good to see.

The weather on Saturday was thankfully far better than was forecast and our luck held into Sunday which was a real bonus – security on steep ground, scrambling  and rope work is so much easier when conducted in the dry, even if the wind made things rather chilly. 2 new Terrain 2 permits and 4 scrambling permits were awarded plus a lot of learning done.

Thanks, as always, to the assessment team and drivers as well as Culverston & Vigo Scout Group for the loan of their minibus.
