Yorkshire 3 peaks

4th June 2016

As a change from the Lakes, this year's May Bank Holiday trip visited the other side of the M6 and the Yorkshire Dales. Nobody attempted the 3 peaks in 12 hours challenge but one group did complete all three in a continuous effort but with a wild camp on Whernside along the way.

Monday saw the whole trip stroll up to Gaping Gill on Ingleborough to explore the largest natural cavern in the country courtesy of the Bradford Potholing Club and their 100m winch down into the Main Chamber.
