Training and Assessment weekend

This event is primarily for adults who require a Hill walking assessment; either first time applicants or those needing to renew or upgrade their existing Hill walking permit. Sorry, this is not an IMC 'Have a go' weekend open to novice hill walkers or those who just fancy a weekend in the hills.

It is also open to any adult scout section Leader who aspires to gaining a Hill walking permit in the future and needs formal training, advice and/or log book experience. Further information about the assessment process can be found on the IMC website.

Our base for this event is Coetmor Mill bunkhouse in Eryri/Snowdonia. 

This application form is for the trip itself, whether you're training or being assessed. If you require assessment then you should also apply for a Hill Walking permit via the Scout Association membership system (Choose Neil Pickford as the Assessor).

Note: there is currently a problem with TSA membership system which won't allow you to upgrade an existing permit or apply for the same permit beyond a year from its expiry date. If you fall into either of these two categories then instead please use this link to apply for your permit rather than via TSA Membership website.

We do have a scrambling Assessor coming on this event so if you are a Terrain 2 permit holder and would like to try and add scrambling to your permit – see Note above regarding upgrade applications and instead choose Andy Young as the Assessor.
